here's something i HATE! I'm facing a Zerg player, i get fast expand and i get a stargate or two (i got 2 b/c he is getting mutas), i keep my corsairs hidden until i have like 6. and when i go for an ovie hunt he QUITS. are zerg players that afraid of corsairs? This has happened to me a bunch of times and the game feels incomplete b/c of it. I saved 1 replay of this and it's about eight minuts long, (i'll post it in the morning b/c i'm hittin' the hay early tonight)
Can a zerg player tell me why they give up so easily???? there are tons of counters like scourge hydras and spore colonies. (my last match had a spire and i was shocked not to see a ton of scourge after he saw my corsair) i know i probably supply blocked him. when i post it you can tell me if he should have left or not.
Off topic: i'm now on ICCup. i'm finding players that don't mind the fact i don't have ah (I DON'T HACK!) ty to those who supported me in my replay thread.

Being a Toss can't be of much help other then saying you must have great timing with your pushes or your playing some really stupid zergs. All they need is hydras or spore colonies or scourge(depending on your micro) protecting where they deside to clump their ovies and then you can't own them with sairs. But in all idc its nice to hears tosses owning zergs:)

Well, I'm a zerg player and i have several reasons to why they quit for ya.
1. They are not ready
2. They don't know how to counter it
3. They are noobs (zerg to me is the hardest race)
4. They just think that's game over
I hope these reasons help you, i would just get a Sh!t load of scourge to counter this.
I just pointed out some of the main reasons, if i missed any, other can correct.
I am sooooooo awesome

If they go muta first and you go double SG, you countered their build unless they somehow manage to scourge most of your sairs. They invested all their resources into early mutas, if you are killing their overlords when their mutas are all dead, the smart ones usually know it's over and leave, especially if they only had mutas.
Only idiots, noobs and/or assholes stay in games they know they have lost. You can't force them to stay in a game they feel they have already lost. Deal with it. Seriously, there is no point to drag out a game you have clearly lost.

Overlords provide supply. No Supply,no units. it's why people go overlord hunting.
The Zerg players just need to adapt.

Well first thing is that zerg hates the hell out of corsairs. It's a cheap way to get an easy advantage and I consider it bad mannered. Terran don't worry about depos and protoss don't worry about pylons, But the only detection zerg have and only supply (since hatcheries only give 1, which makes me think why lair and hive don't give more) is the overlord, which is highly vulnerable. Zerg are not going to get spores, and they are not going to go hydralisk den which makes them completely open and completely helpless. even if he goes spire he will have to sacrifice his gas to hunt down your gaysairs so his muta rush is ended as well. That my friend is the reason why most zerg including myself hate it. Atleast i stick around to get called a noob.

lol by the time you get 6 Corsairs i would have already an army + about 10 scourges!
i think you play too many n00BS!
even when i was a N00B I never quit, because i would have made 2 billion hydras lol...
but Corsairs are too easy to counter, so your playing against too many N00BS

lol... have you ever faced a corsair rush? they arrive by the time a den finishes if you are going for a zergling/hydralisk combo attack, then lurkers. If you rush a den ur fine, but otherwise it can be a problem especially if the (insert mean word here) goes for dark templar.

Haha how is it bad mannered? It's just another protoss unit, if you scout it neo sauron(3hatch spire into 5 hatch hydra) which is the most used build nowadays in ZvP counters mass sairs perfectly since you'll have scourge out for the first sairs and a bunch of hydralisks if he goes double stargate(scourges doesn't do anything after around 6-7 sairs since they die before they can touch the sairs).. Also you're supposed to scout the protoss, obviously you can't just skip the hydralisk den in a ZvP unless you are going 3hatch ling allin or 2hatch muta allin..
wat?

i know! thats the thing, thats why i try to keep my apm as high as possible.
and yes i have faced thousands of corsair rushes! they come start killing your overlords, and you start going DAMN!
but what i do is basicly keep only one overlord at each expansion and keep the rest separate with protection of spore colonies, at the same time i have scourges flying around the place, and when i know he stops attacking with corsairs, he goes for dark templars, and then when i have overlords he brings back the corsairs with the upgrade to block of buildings, so he blocks of my spores, but i would of killed most of his corsairs with scourges and had hydras attack his dark templars before they got inside of my base.

Corsairs are a protoss' best friend. I dont know what the race is going to be like without them...
Anyways, why are you upset that you won? He quit for a reason: you either beat him for real, or intimidated him into quitting. That is a victory. If you want to see more fireworks, just kill all his buildings after he GG's (:D)
When (if) I win, I dont question how it happened, but instead just thank my lucky stars that it did.

This is why sometimes is best to loose, at least from time to time. You get to learn a lot more:P
I would like to mention that fully understanding the way you beat the other guy will help a lot in future battles.

LOL Im not a terrible player. I know basic BOs and I can execute them pretty well, but my "game sense" is terrible. I also dont play very much.
My record on bnet is 2:1 (losses to wins)
So yea, I know a thing or two about losing :D

I'm guessing i intimidated him, and that's what i don't like. it was like a hollow victory. i was scared going 2 stargates b/c i knew i wouldn't have many ground units. even a bad sunken defense would have bought him enough time to get spore colonies. even a few more zergling woulda stopped my ground harass. yes overlords are a giant target but they can be replaced very quickly.
ending w/ this guy my ICCup rec is 4-4 w/ PvZ my best match up. (i don't think they were very good zerg players) and PvT my worst match up (i'm studying the PvT guide now)
