This may end badly for the Protoss, this new power may get to their heads and begin to corrupt even the purest of hearts.

How can the dark templar use the Khala? They severed there connection with the Khala when they were banished from Aiur or something like that

I know it's shaky but c'mon, Phase Templars? How awesome is that?

wow the protoss tech is spiraling so high it won't be able to come back down
i wonder if randall was able to use the borelius with the terran troops to like make their battlecruisers laser blasts be more powerfull would the 3 races be able to defeat the zerg easier
hope the terran tech dosen't get left completely in the dust as the protoss sprial to the stars

sev the protoss wear protective activation devices and its not like the protoss are all going one on one
they are fighting in a big group like Protoss in army vs Zerg in a horde thats huge
if the protoss safety thing dosen't work then a zealot will run the dude back to the city or whatever
protoss though are becoming smart and not trying to die in battle they are trying to live in battle

i think its awsome that ytarna is leading the way for all the templars
wish randall liked terrans a bit better

Great additions. However you seem to have only mentioned the biological units. Zealots to phase templars, high templars/disrupters to mirage templars (even if not them the class role), dark templars/hight templars to Fusion templars (do they carry H-bombs?). I wonder what the vechiles are doing? (carriers with intercepters that reassmeble their targets into yet more intercepters not to mention the fact that they are overloaded with boraelium and the carriers have heavy guns and overshadows).

@sev4: Nice idea, but no. Boraelium only multiplies electrical energy. Terran machines and the Protoss race are both fueled by electrical energy. (In a way)

If you shoved some chunks of Boraelium into a Zerg's body (or a human's body) it would just explode. (Bio-electricity overload. A siezure/heart-attack/stroke/etc. is all partly due to electrical imbalances within the nervous system. BTW I have a degree in illogical medical bullshit so I know what I am talking about.) {lol I am joking!}

@Tauren_Marine: LoL It's fusion not fission!

...and the Boraelium/Psychium circuits are rather small so their main use is enhancing all infantry types or Dragoon-like machines. Carriers would take a huge amount for it to make much difference, and this is not possible because of the limited supply of Boraelium on Shakuras.*

*It's really not, as Archameus can just use his super-duplicator-thingy to make millions of copies. However, this would seem suspicious and discover that he has a super-duplicator-thingy and that would be bad so he won't do that.

Chapter 9: Quite a Chore

Juan looked down at Shakuras as yet another bloody battle drug on. These mindless Zerg were phenomenally weaker than the Zerg he had fought over Umoja, but these were far more plentiful. The wretched beasts were multiplying faster than they could kill them. This was a very worrying prospect.

He hit the intercom switch. "Get me the 14th Thor Squadron." He said. "Right away sir." The operant replied. There was a pause, and then a female voice came through the speakers. "Rhino Squadron, Jazira reporting." She said. "Pilot, do you see those beasts down on the ground? The large, cumbersome things?" "Yessir. I believe they're called Ultralords, although those are some of the the most pathetic looking ones I've ever seen."

"...then you have seen them?"

"Yes. Back on Umoja. They can pick up a Thor and chuck it over a cliff. Barely got away with my life. They can take out capitol ships even easier, so I recommend we hang back and let the Toss outsmart 'em with high-tech ground troops."

"Good idea, pilot. I should promote you."

Jazira chuckled. "That sure means a lot coming from my brother."
Juan smiled. "You wanna keep charging around in a massive artillery mech, be my guest."

"Well why don't you just have another cigar while you lounge in your space-yacht, Juan-o!"

"Get back to work, sis." He said.

Juan sat down in his chair. The ship vibrated as the gunners fired barrage after barrage into the encircling masses of Zerg. "Captain, we got allied vessels at starboard." The operant said. Juan looked out his window and stared at the nearby spacecraft. There were several massive Protoss Carriers joining the formation beside them. They were truly incredible to look at, but he realized that not all of them were Protoss. Several huge silver ships had some human characters written on them as well as the huge insignias of golden lightning bolts.

The Protoss ships were beautiful, but the Symek vessels produced a much more powerful, scientific feeling. One of the silvery Triremes drifted closer to his ship, and Juan grabbed his electro-scope to look at it closer.

Travis stood at his control seat within the primary biosphere of the Boraelian Eclipse. He used an array of mechanical tentacles and claws to examine the schematics for future inventions, all while he watched the battlefield with close attention. He felt a prickling at the back of his head, and he looked outside. His cyborg eyes zoomed in on a man at the bridge of a huge Battlecruiser with an electro-scope pointed out at him.

Travis gave him a scowl and returned to his work. Nosy Terrans... He thought.
{Sir!} A Legionnaire said with his mind.
{Yes?}
{We've seen six Ultralords approaching from the west! Suggested action?}
Travis paused. He had hoped the Ultralords had all died on Umoja, but it seemed their genetic code was permanently absorbed into the Swarm.

{We'll focus on the fodderlings while the Protoss take out the Ultras. If they get too close, order the men to begin evasive maneuvers.}
{Of course sir. I'll get to it.}

Travis reached out to Ytarna. She was at the bridge of the Shakuran Fist, an exceptionally well-armed Tempest Warship.
{Ytarna, my men have discovered six Ultralords approaching the front. I thought this may be a job for your new Templar guilds.}

{Indeed... I shall see to it...} Ytarna replied in her strange, whisper-like voice.

Travis watched through the eyes of Symek scouts as the Ultralords were engaged by a force of Templars. The invisible Fusion Templars blasted them with psionic lightning while the Mirage Templars confused them with hallucinations. However, the massive beasts were incredibly difficult to destroy. Their impervious armor reflected all blows from outside.

Then the Phase Templars appeared. The noble warriors materialized out of thin air and teleported toward the Ultralords. At first they could only manage to dodge away from the monsters' oversized blades, but one Templar took a drastic gamble and teleported inside the Ultralord.
Travis watched in shock as the other Phase Templars followed suit and began tearing the beasts apart from inside out. It was disgusting, but one couldn't be too squeamish in a war. That was one of the greatest lessons he had learned from his life in the Swarm.

@sinclair: Phase Temps are Zealots with teleporting gear that allows them to shift right up to enemy units. (Basically eliminating the only major weakness of Zealots, which is that they have to run up to melee range and get slaughtered by Tanks and such. Now, they pwn all ranged ground units.)

...and yes, they would teleport into the massive stomachs/lungs/whatever 'roomy' organ and start hacking away at the poor beasts from inside. (yuck!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fighting continued for weeks. The hordes of feeble Zerg fodder were spawning at record speeds, but the tremendous surge in Protoss technology combined with continuous reinforcements of Dominion fleets had become a nearly invulnerable force. Travis and Archameus had unleashed a tidal wave of advances for the Protoss war machines, and the number of powerful Terran starships was increasing every day.
It was only a matter of days before the endless floods of Zerg slowed to a trickle, and Shakuras was pure once again. Many of the Terran fleets returned home, but some remained to help the Protoss reclaim their other colonies. Even this went easier than expected as Shakuras had suffered the worst attacks by far.
Many of the Terrans rejoiced at the success of the Dominion forces, but there was still tremendous devision growing within the Terran governments. The Emperor worried that the recently forged Proterian Alliance would dissolve, and he hurriedly made plans to visit with the new Protoss Executor.
Travis walked through the humid greenhouses of the Boraelian Eclipse. The metal walkway ran through an organized grove of sapling conifers. Silvery metal cables and devices were attached to the trees, tapping into their supply of organic electricity and dispersing it throughout the ship. He continued down the path until he came to an open patch of grass. It was here that he found Ytarna.
{Hello Travis.} She said as she sat on the ground.
{Hello, Ytarna. Are you holding up as Executor?}
{Such responsibility is very tiresome.} She said without opening her eyes.
{I would imagine it is, but does it worry you?}
{It is the lesser of my worries. How are you?}
{I am glad Shakuras has been saved.}
{As am I. However, I cannot help but doubt the longevity of our safety.} She said.
Travis frowned.
{I don't think we can ever be completely safe, Ytarna. I've yet to find a single place where bad things cannot occur.}
Thanx OTP! I'm sure my early lore is very insoncistant, but that is only due to lack of knowledge. My two later stories are, however, extremely insonsistant and this is due to nothing less than utter disregard for Blizzards entire lore! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Arcturus sat in the comfortable lounge within the Fist of Korhal, the royal battleship of the Dominion. The walls were decorated with flags and paintings and portraits of himself, but they offered him no consolation. He sat in his chair and as the relentless weight of regret and shame sat on his shoulders.

He looked across the room at his son, Valerian. Arcturus had demanded that Valerian accompany him to the meeting with the Protoss. He had instructed him to study the negotiations carefully and treat the remarkable race with respect, but Valerian continued to act indifferent. It seemed that the Emperor's original demands for the boy to be proud and ruthless had sunk in after all. Yet another reason for Arcturus to hate himself.

The room vibrated as the Fist of Korhal pulled away from the orbital docking bay and hovered into space. They would set off to Shakuras soon. Arcturus leaned forward. "Valerian..." He said.
"Hmm?" Valerian said without looking away from his hand held computer.
"Valerian, I want to thank you for coming along. I know it's rather selfish of me, but I really do think it is important for you to be a part of this."
"Is that so?"
"Yes, and I... I know that if this alliance holds, you will eventually be running the negotiations yourself." He paused and lowered his voice. "We both know that I won't be Emperor forever, Valerian."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Travis stepped away from Ytarna and looked out into the void. The Eclipse was escorted by two massive Protoss Carriers and the four finest Triremes in the Symek fleet. They were flying toward the rendezvous point where they would meet with the Terran Emperor.
The Symek ships were armed to the teeth with multiple batteries of rapid fire cannons and magnetic missile packs. Travis doubted that they Terrans would try anything, bt you could never be too careful.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Valerian looked up at his father. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means that you must prepare for the day you are crowned Emperor. You must be ready to lead this race, Val, and they are certainly not easily lead."

"You've said all of this before, father. You've told me a thousand times that I've not inherited your talent. You've made it perfectly clear that I can't lead this Dominion as well as you."

"...but Valerian, that is "my point![/i] What I've been trying to tell these past few months is that I don't ant you to... I don't want you to be... like... me."

Arcturus ran his hand through his shaggy gray hair. "I... I've finally realized the hideous repercussions of my greed, Valerian. It's far too late for me to right all my wrongs now. My only wish now is that you would learn from my mistakes. Learn from them, before you turn into what I once was..."

The three massive Battle Cruisers slowly flew away from Korhal. In the center was the gigantic Fist of Korhal with the Hyperion II and the Cutlass IV at its sides. All of them were built to the highest level of power possible of the Minotaur Class.

The Captain of the Cutlass IV had assembled his personal guard of two-hundred Marines for a briefing. He stepped up to the podium and looked around the cold, gray chamber. "Attention!" He said, and all the Marines looked up at him eagerly.

"We are preparing for a meeting with the alien Protoss. Now I know that many of you have had harsh relations with the Protoss before, but this may be a chance for a semi-stable alliance with them. With the Zerg in ruins, that would mean a momentary peace among our planets."

He paused to let that sink in.

"I want to make it perfectly clear that any hostile actions on these aliens will not be tolerated! There is to be no violent action against them at all, do I make myself clear!?"

"Yes sir!" They shouted.

"Good. See to it that your squads-" He stopped as a Marine stumbled forward. "Am I boring you, soldier!?" He asked.

The Marine stood back up. He felt like he was going to hurl right inside his helmet. He could faintly hear the others talking. He could stop himself. He opened his face-shield just in time, and he vomited all over the floor.

"Sir, you'll have to forgive Gurson here. He got a little to celebratory last night...

Gurson stared down at the floor. There was a large puddle of dark blood splattered across the metal plating.

He screamed in pain for a half a second before he exploded into a cloud of blood and olive green chemicals. The explosion took out the five Marines who were standing next to him. The rest of the men all looked in horror at the pile of corpses. Something began to stir from inside the dead men's chests, and they all drew their weapons and fired as a long, pointed head rose out of Gurson's chest.

The creature was dead, but the silence was quickly broken as two more Marines exploded at the back of the formation. Marines whirled around to fire but more and more of them were bursting apart every second. Only sixty Marines remained now. The captain reached for his pistol as the skinny looking monsters began to rise out of the fallen men. He suddenly felt a pang within his stomach, and saw a few drops of blood fall from his lips...
