I'd turn that around and ask the "fans" to quit being whiny but that's like asking trolls to be reasonable.

Blizzard hasn't really let us down yet in terms of their shipped games, so I'm sure they don't intend to have this be the exception. I just hope we get a few more Battle Reports in the meantime. That 2v2 battle was fun, it'd be an interesting change of pace.

Errrrr? Why would they be mad? They are kinda used to whining, petty and tedious fan whining. Comes with the job.

They can't be bothered with it. Comes with the job description more or less. Blizzard will make a good game so that dies hard fans won't have to end their lives if the game hypothetically turns out bad.

About Mike Morhaime contradicting that. Where did you read it? Don't remember him saying anything other that the development team is working hard towards beta - which they in fact are. This does not contradict Chris' statement though.

Mike Morhaime said it himself in the first day of Blizzcon when he was asked by Geoff from SpikeTV. Wow, a community manager who doesn't even know his president's quotes.

It is hard to give updates, when all updates that you have to give are small and insignificant ones compared to the update you really want to know about - beta and release. Any update we gave got shouted down by a wave of: "Who cares, give us beta". ;)

Oh boy... have sad it before and I will say it again "The more time it takes Blizz to create the game, the better it will be when it's realest so I have no problem with waiting" or something like that, i forgot :J

Yes yes, i agree with what you are TRYING to say, when it is released it will be well worth the wait. Personally if I get Beta, I won't be bothered if SC2 takes another year after it, as long as I can keep playing the BEta.

I would like to see some battle reports, or even just gameplay videos, like the one that got launched back in June (the 7 minute one).

I am hoping for a christmas release of beta. That would be a great present to all SC2 fans.

Yes, we all know when it will come out and that is why we are debating over the date and suggesting dates when it might come out. :P That my good sir, was sarcasm.

Haha, only by the time when the game has met Blizzard's quality expectations... As for the specific release date, well, only Blizzard knows. But I happened to find an Australian online store that sells PC games which include SC2: Wings of Liberty as well. The website indicates the release date to be "May 25, 2010", but I somehow doubt it still...
