Starcraft 2 Armory - Unofficial Starcraft 2 Fansite

As February 10th draws closer I can't help but wonder what will happen at the conference. We know it's to discuss Blizzard's earnings, but that can't be all, can it? Why would it be live?

While I am sure many are hoping it is going to be beta's announcement, I am wondering could it maybe be some other announcement? Maybe a new MMO entirely? After all, we have known for awhile one is in the works.

Of course I am hoping it is beta, like I am sure the rest of you are, but I am really unsure. My gut tells me otherwise. What do you all think?

Yet another delay for all the releases.

You'd think they're going to play a very cruel Joke on the gamers and announce something else entirely just to see our reaction and bait us around a bit like some pre-pubescent little school boy who is just finding out about his body and likes the sensual touch of a girl's smooth skin, the wetness of her lips as they both press together blizzard asks "Do you like that big boy?" As you nod your head she urges you to come closer as you approach you place you hands around her hips and she brushes them away in your mind you become confused the fact is you've been lured into a trap of bad memories, you look into her face and attempt to place your hands on those hips once again you've been rejected and as quickly made up your mind, you turn away and begin to walk saying "I'm not waiting for this crap anymore!" as quick as you were to leave an angels voice beckons your name only that voice is not of an angel deep in tone you turn to see the body of a person whose figure is so deformed and messed up yet perfect attractive in every way... you smile happy to know that she is ready to go all the way, you jumping into her arms you embrace her body, it was long overdue she calls out "Are you ready for this?" and I whisper "No.", she replies "All has been revealed, BETA has been released." they really intended to show us some garbage then actually announcing it's release... Kerrigan you whore holding out on me...... the sound of us gamers Jizzing in our pants was horrible.....

Yet another day, yet another 'Beta where are you' or 'when is it coming out' topic.

I said Beta, but its just upbeat wishful thinking ...

Great poll Deathleach, I like. My vote went to SC2 beta. Wishfull thinking... maybe? But having the pro gamers signed up almost 2 weeks ago now, leads me speculate the beta or a February beta date will be announced next Wednesday. Along with all the Q4 financial stuff and more WoW records.

Sorry, I think I'm high right now.

Probably nothing interesting. Just some reports on earnings or progress or some stuff like that. I'm not expecting much.

We're going to go in depth and audit their financial statements. No more funny numbers on the statement of change of retained earnings for them let me tell you.

I have seen the news from somewhere which said that Blizzard would announce a new MMO that has been going underground for quite a long time. As for SC2 beta, haha, I don't expect them to give us surprise so soon and so generously. Perhaps, just some regular updates and so forth, I don't know. But look at the bright side, we at least will get some more info about Blizzard games, no matter what that is, will still cheer us up. :))

World of starcraft anyone?

The new MMO is a confirmed new universe, meaning they're not basing it on anything they've done before, but I heard a rumor it will be a new genre of sorts, like a dual FPSMMO. Just rumors though.

I voted Beta, it's a press conference, not Blizzcon, they won't be showcasing any new features, and it's too early for the MMO I think, it would overlap too much with hype from Cataclysm. They'll wait till WoW actually starts to lose player I bet before pulling them all back in with a new MMO. I think it's either nothing or beta, and considering now is statistically most likely for beta to roll around , the press conference is a better time than any for it.

I'm optimistic, I voted for SC2 beta. They did release the WotLK about a week after one of these calls.
Plus we're at the 31 month mark since the sc2 announcement, the time[about] when the other Blizzard betas were placed gently in to the hands of those needed them most.

It just seems odd though, why broad cast the quarterly earning report out on the internet?
If thats all it is why not just write up a report and post it on their website?

But hey its probably just my lack of knowledge of the inner working of corporate America.

i have to agree not to spam or beat up blizzard but they have a habit of putting off thing (yes the reason may be good but it still a pain)
