Battle.net 2.0 Q&A (SC2Armory Edition) | Feb 6th, 03:24am | |
|
First of all this idea will be possible if Gearv0sh support it.
I think it will be cool if we accumulate batch of questions about bnet2.0. Blues already release map editor related Q&A, so what about bnet2.0? So, Gearv0sh, what do you think about it? Is it possible or it's fail? Questions: 1. What kind of stats supported by bnet2.0? Can we recieve stats like: overal (or average) damage by marines/zealot/zerglins etc, average apm etc... (changed. differ than original) 2. Will bnet2.0 support custom tournaments? And what kind of tournaments it can be? (group stage&playoff or playoff system only) 3. Can I share my replays over bnet2.0 with friends? 4. Will achievements be something a serious player will aim for or just something people will do when they are bored? (by TheGreenMachine) 5. Will B.net support clans? If yes, will clan mates be kept on a separate friends list? (by Uberman) |

I like your idea. Hope Gearv0sh supports it too.

All that would be interesting and wonderful stuff to be enjoyed by the happiness of all until your replays fall victim to the swarm! XD
........ I like your questions they are valid and wouldn't mind seeing them in the game.

Ooh :) I like.
But I dont think there will be many questions regarding Battle.net 2.0. Its coming out real soon, and besides, what question would we need to know that hasn't been announced yet? |

You mean how much damage they do? All in the website already.
You could do it in the first, except you have to send it to them or upload on a website so this is a really good question, if you can send replays on bnet 2.0, sharing will become alot easier.

No. I mean overall damage by any unit. It seems to be true because of achievements, why not. |

Basically talking about stuff like fly your barracks into an enemy terran base and salvage their tech lab and fly off. I will be very disappointed if I see that as an achievement.
Its time to say GG starcraft, you are morphing into a Lair

In SC1 you could land Terran buildings next to an enemy's add-on and gain control of it. If that feature is in SC2 you could land your Barracks next to the enemy's Tech Lab and gain control of it, then activate salvage giving yourself minerals. Of course if a Terran opponent is about to lose his base, he would likely salvage any structure he could to save his minerals. |

I don't know if you've seen WoW, but there are both serious achievements and achievements that you can do simply when you're bored.. And I don't see any reason for you to be disappointed if they put an achievement in the game that you don't like? Then just don't do that achievement... Is it that hard?
wat?

1. Those stats are more or less useless. I suspect the ones they have to be more important. 2. Yes. Any you can make. 3. Yes 4. They're acheivements. Now there is no need to ask the blue. |

What are you talking about with your first answer, editor? His first question was, will B.net have a tracker that will give you a, life time overall, damage caused by a single unit type (i.e. 25,000,000 points of damage By Marines). The question was caused by, not dealt by. @SunSunych Here's a question for you: Will B.net support clans? If yes, will clan mates be kept on a separate friends list? (For the sake of keeping things organized)

Sorry, typo. I meant to say I doubt it'll have stats like the ones he suggested though because they are irrelevant. (cuz you know, editor and anything are totally similar) Yes B.net will support clans, and although I cannot say for certain, I'm pretty sure you will have a separate list for friends and clan mates. |

Disagree. It can be useful. By the way it can be separated kinda "against Terran|Zerg|Protos". This way you can see "approximative" opponent style. It can be not so serious, but more like piece of fun. Otherwise, achievements useless too. :) |
