i tried to get into the chatroom, but got distracted. the question i had was how long did Fungal Infestation took to kill a Roach, do to its fast regain, compared to a unit with very similar health.(Hellion i guess)

All and all I like the changes so far with maybe the exception of the reaper, thor, infestor, and queen.
The reaper seems to fill its role perfectly, but outside that base raider role it seems weak. I think if they gave that unit flare it would do better outside of base raider. Though from what you said the reaper already does fine at base raiding. Too bad they do not give an upgrade option like the BC. The thor has mechanical rebirth, but when the BC received defense matrix, I instantly though how well that would go with the Thor instead. Though for the sake of the terrans, it may be better if D matrix stayed on the BC. The infestor still needs some work. I do not know where to start. I kind kind have the feeling that the current infestor and queen should merge, but it may be a little late to do that. |

I think Thor should be scrapped, too. Replace it with a new anti-air unit that actually fits the idea of an anti-air role. Then strengthen the siege tank. Do that, and Terran are a beautiful race. Stop holding on to a lost gimmick, which is all the Thor is. Terran don't need them. Having strong, indispensable siege tanks is much more tactical and strategy oriented then having a clumsy Thor. And honestly, the whole idea of a Thor being an anti-air unit just doesn't make any practical sense. Look at the design? Why would any civilization build that sort of thing to defend against air? Really now, let's be reasonable. Less bullheadedness please.
New unit. Anti air. Design a strange and original model, and make it most effective vs. clumped air units. Then give the battlecruiser a spell aimed at disabling large ships. Scrap the battlecruisers defensive matrix, which doesn't belong on the battle cruiser (and really terran don't need it) and replace that spell with something similar to the dragonhawks aerial shackles. call it tractor beam. Terran is done. i like what they've done with the queen. it's simpler, and if you don't think spawning 3 larvae will be useful (instead of building new hatcheries) then think again. This thing will supplement and modify your build order. Before, adding ?1? larvae was practically useless.. not worth the micro. But 3 is good. I am glad the devs identified this and changed it around. Also, the idea of moving around its bug swarm ability thing is good (instead of it spawning from a building, which is farfetched). It allows the queen to defend your base from a range, but isn't overpowered. Now losing a queen won't mess with your base structuring and creep spreading tactics.. (i.e., throw off your whole game). This will allow you to be more liberal with your queen, and use of creep. I'm predicting as tactics in starcraft develop and becoming highly refined, the queen will begin to see more and more credit thrown its way. I am worried the devs are holding on to this idea of anti-gravity when it is a lost cause. Giving it to the phoenix doesn't make sense. Phoenix should keep overload. It was a tactical mechanic. Also, making antigravity work on all ground units sounds the opposite: simple and tactless. If antigravity didnt work for the nullifier, scrap it and find a new ability. In case you haven't noticed, this new phasing ability the high templar is very similar to the gravity ability. Why not give the nullifier this phase warp ability (which is essentially antigravity which doesn't work on buildings), and have that be it? ... (that, or just nerf antigravity so it only works on units ..??) I actually like that the infestor is being made more predictable and simpler. Though the spawn terran thing doesn't really make any sense lore wise, I have to agree... but I'm sure they'll work that out. As for the colossus, as long as there are no flawed mechanical changes we have nothing to worry about. Stat balance comes in time. I like that the mothership is coming along well, although I'd prefer the warp in ability to vortex.. which seems to really overlap with timebomb, antigravity, and ?phasewarp?. (four protoss spells which basically disable units? ....????? seriously wtf?? this sort of redundancy is just ridiculous)

Screw the damn overseer!!!! Bring in the macrophage! You cannot not agree gear, that the macrophage would be a way better caster than the overseer.

i'm generally sad about a few changes blizzard made...
mothership, colossus and queen are my favorite units... i also think the phoenix and nullifier are cool... but....the mothership now got weaker (in terms of health and shields--make it at least 900 T.T ) colossus was way weaker than before (first they removed the null-flux generator, then they remove (50 i think?) shields from it....and the royal queen...it's so sad...though i hear many people rejoicing about the demise of the queen's sovereignity in a hive cluster...i'm really sad about having multiple queens that are now sporting less than half hp (250) of a huge queen (600) and fewer abilities...i wonder if it is still 'the big thing' aside from the ultralisk....(i hope it still is, and beef her up even with just a hundred hp to make her health 350) and yeah why do you have so many queens in just a hive cluster? at least with the sc1 queens, they really are not the brood mothers, their names are just misnomers...but the new queen really is THE queen (namewise it is stupid but probably for mobility of base defense is probably ok) and what they have done to the pheonix is plain and downright stupid...the phoenix is an air superiority fighter for crying out loud!! why does it have to have a spell that removes (by this i mean temporarily disable) ground units?? now the nullifier lost its cool anti-gravity ability nighthawk looks wicked i dont care about everything else... T.T

Very disappointed in the Infestor changes. Bad lore and I want to see some infested Terran buildings...and am I missing something or is Dark Swarm just gone now?
Nerfing the Siege Tank...that is just rotten. It looks great art wise, and now there won't be many of them? :( Protoss are looking alright, but I agree with everyone on the disappointment of losing the Phoenix ability. I guess it was just too good? |

Blizzard, I swear I will never play any of your games again if you do not give the Phoenix back Overload.

I love this so much info in such a long time!
Oh, how is the vortex ability compare/contrast with time bomb? And it seems like the protoss are getting too many "stasis field" abilitys... Vortex, time bomb, anti-grav, phase shift... But I dunno... *sassy voice* I didn't go to blizzcon... *pout* |

and so i have alot of other curses but i wont display them...some good news but...ive lost all my hope what happened to infested protoss? how do infested humans hatch out of little eggs?!@#$ Well the siege tank got hit hard by the nerf bat, what role do they play now? (DPS) I used them more for support then for turtling. Your turtling has been reduced a bit more in sc2. Their role is the same, you just wont see 20 of them at once anymore. -what does this mean..? |
