I believe that is the German name for the unit. The Zealot, for example, is called the "Berserker".

I believe it says so in German "previously known as the Nullifier..." in its description, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered mentioning it :o

-Psi

After using Google translate, it does appear that way. I have asked for clarification on the Battle.net forum, just to be sure.

Personally, I will feel rather dissapointed if that turns out to be the case, since I perfer the name Nullifier.

Personally I am not disappointed if the name change actually happened. Nullifier was a name that was for me just too unimpressive. Disruptor sounds sexy. ^^

Maybe Colossus get its name changed to ''Phaser'' lol

Getting more and more Star Trekkish lol

Haha yeah I haven't noticed it before but now that you are mentioning it does seem that way. Well there is no way that anyone ever comes up with something completely original and innovative. No matter how much you are careful there are going to be people noticing the similarities with different things.

With that in mind I still prefer Disruptor over nullifier any day of the week. =)

Edit: The only thing I hope for that they finally settle on the Ravens name. I like this one and every other before it. Name doesn't matter much it is there just for the flavor essentially. So I hope this is the last name change of that unit. o.O
Goodbye sc2armory.

I am not a fan of the new name: Raven. I much prefer nighthawk but i dare say that they'll change it again, hopefully to something better. Brood Lord looks extremely similar to the guardian in sc1. i wonder if that's just a temporary model perhaps?

XD that would explain why I can't cannon rush any of the comps when playing regular Starcraft...it's way too rigged because they can tell exactly where you are and can rush you faster.

I am glad that there is new information on the progress of the game. I wonder what the particle cannon ability that the Thor has does to kill ground units. It is good that there is new information about the game as a whole and not on factions. I still do not like the Brood Lord and think that the Swarm Guardian should be brought back with the stat boosts that the Brood Lord has.

You can thank my friend for the incredible AI =P.

THE THOR LOOKS AWESOME NOW xD. The Nighthawk went through ALOT of name changes lol. I personally like Nighthawk better than Raven though lol, but with this new ability, defensive turret, THE PHOTON CANNONS WILL EAT OUR TERRAN DUST!

Bah...late for the party as usual!!!

Well, I am glad they revoked that mechanic that enabled ur allies to use ur nydus nework...imo that was OP.
The thor now has particle cannons to pulverize ground troops (talk about taurens lol)...I kind of find this a bit odd, but I have a gut feeling that we r talking about line aoe here not standard siege tank or psi storm style aoe which makes me wonder further about the fate of the hellion which does the same thing.
The whole AI needing to scout was mentioned before though they never explicitly stated that it doesnt see the entire map...that i like.
I really hope we end up with day/night cycle...dont care much for weather effects but i am not against them (love fighting in the rain)

Broodlord: Talk about a scourge on steriods...but honestly i like the fact that the model has become more compact...the previous one just took too much space and covered a relatively substantial area of the map

RAVEN: Blizzard, Blizzard...when r u ever gonna see the obvious...Remodel back to the first model (nomad) and if u think the yellow doesnt fit, just give it a dark bluish/purplish/greyish color scheme and call it either nomad or vulkan...DONE!!!
As for its current cool model, give it to the viking in air mode...yeah, now we r talking!!!

About the defensive drone...now that is one thing that makes me feel i am not as bad as i think i am...I suggested this before (but for the dropship instead)

Overall...a woot goes to blue!!!
Now all i need is a god damn TvT report to see the thor and the drone and the viking as well.

EDIT: HT plasma surge...looks like the protoss final got their medic...lol
though honestly, as others have pointed out i'd like to see how tough this is to break when used in conjunction with dark pylons (which can also be used in conjunction with the warp gates to deploy further reinforcements)...boy that's gonna be tough...
I think Blue ought to make upgrading to DPs cost u something other than resources (as in not being able to use with warp gates and having this mechanic limited to 'light' pylons)

EDIT 2: U can willingly send ur units into the vortex...now that is new!!!

1. Good to know about the nydus network. Otherwise they would provide too much mobility for a team match up.

2. I for one am glad that Mechanical rebirth is gone. The particle cannons makes perfect sense, what else can you give a giant walking mech covered with gun barrels. The Thor found its hammer back yey ;)

3. LOL the AI cheats. Good news then, it will make solo games more challenging. The AI then can also be a good opponent for practice.

4. Day and night would not be applicable to Starcraft since the scenario is in space and other far away planets in the parts of another galaxy. Lore will get in the way as day and night cycles vary for each planet depending on their location. It will also disrupts the new LOS mechanic. As for the weather, it will be a cool for visual only but must not affect game play.

5. Good news abut maps as well.

6. I heard they will change the name again from "Raven" to the "Hummingbird". Then future plans to change it again they will now call it "Hell Chicken" by next month. By November it will now be called "Turkey of DOOM". LOL :p

Seriously now, Is it me or does the name is going down hill on the coolness factor. From the Nomad (which is a very decent name IMO) to Vulkan to Nighthawk and now this. Well I hope Blizzard find the right name. LOL this will confuse a lot of people who doesn't follow the game development religiously.

As for the new drone, I need more info before I can comment properly. Is it mobile (flying)? What are its mechanic? ect... Honestly I still mourn for the loss of the spider mines.

LOL@spartan

why is raven a better name? I just dont get it...

Nomad was good because it fit the terran psyche, vulcan was good because of all its construction abilities.

Nighthawk was really cheesy but fit the awesome design.

Now we have the raven. Anyone see any reason to name it this? It is like they dont think at all when they name stuff.
