2xHT = 100min 300gas
2xDT = 250min 200gas
1xHT&1xDT = 225min 250gas

Has no one even bothered to double check the simple math here before commenting on the costs? 1HT+1DT = 175m,250g, not 225m,250g. That really skews the first-impression towards DT archons being pricey.

that is a good thing,

I can see why people rarely use the nydus worm... its another canal... with restrictions... again...

brrr... I'm terrible sorry for this simple mistake.

so it's:

2xHT = 100min 300gas
1xHT&1xDT = 175min 250gas
2xDT = 250min 200gas

looks more balanced to me now ^^

so you really got a nice option to PRODUCE Archons now :)

I think you've hit the nail on the head. It's nothing more than a glorified nydus canal right now. Granted it doesn't take as long as a nydus canal...but still.

Nydus worm is awesome. I used it twice and emerged in an enemy zergs mineral line and utterly destroyed him.

Hmm...so why did they say it doesn't seem to be used very much in general? Is it basically only truly useful in a ZvZ MU?

With the nydus worm, using it on enemy zerg im assuming you have to see it to do it. IE you send an OL into the zergs base so that you can see the creep and then send in the nydus worm.

Question Gear:

did you notice if zealots have a speed upgrade?

The guide doesnt say that they do, but i remember a korean site saying that there are now two upgrades for zealot: charge and leg enhancements.

http://blizzforums.com/showthread.php?t=22413

Do you remember seeing this, or does charge increase movement speed as well as give the ability to charge?

How quickly does air kill Ultralisk. It doesn't help to kill the Ultralisks if they already messed up your base. I am asking because it seems given the Ultralisk HP and damage they can hurt you unless you face them in the field(which I know you should be doing) with air. What I want to know is if Ultralisk seemed to powerful or is the air counter enough to stop them from causing damage.

If you let the enemy get anymore then 3 Ultralisks, its your fault and you should lose.

hahaha! my thoughts exactly. it'll be like dealing with the tarrasque ultralisks in starcraft 1. u'll need to find em and dice em before they get any where near your base.

problem with the canal was that if the enemy was watching, they know right where your going to pop up your canal. not to mention getting units there to take it out in the first place.. if you wanted to be sneaky you had to put up a hatchery, THEN a canal.. which got expensive...

sc2 has that new spawn creep ability... soo... now you can spawn creep out of enemys line of sight.. throw up a worm and transport right to the battle...

should be an interesting mechanic...

what about the changeling? you can send a hidden Zergling in and watch whatever you want to ^^
I z´think many Zerg PLayer do not notice a small Ling hiding at a building :)

Hey bossman nice batch of Q & A, I got some questions.

1. Does the transport mechanic (the regular with overlords, warp prism and medivacs) still work like in SC1. What is the max transport slot is it still 8?
Can you give a chart, a list or something that shows which units occupy 1, 2 and 4 transport slots? Because I was wondering about the Thor and colossus, and also about the stalker and immortal which will take up more slots?

2. Does the call down supplies have a range, for example you can only increase the supply of depots within or near your OC or you can also increase the ones that are on expansions across the map?

3. Have you got a chance to use the missile barrage of the BC, was it effective?

4. How fast can 1 broodlord create a certain number of broodlings to swarm an enemy?

5. Did you even use the changeling? is it worth using?

6. How is the assault mode of the tank compare to the old SC1 version I heard it was more mobile/faster?

7 Did you think that Tanks and Thors have a role overlap? and from a strategic point of view can you site instances when is it a good idea to go for tanks than the other and viceversa?

8. If different DT models doesn't affect gameplay. Do you think having different ghost models will be the same?

9. Did you experienced any bugs or glitch on the build of the game you have played?

Dear GearvOsh,

The original incantation of the ultralisk had the ability to walk over small units such as zerglings. Is this still the case or has that functionality been scrapped?

Werent nydus worms suppose to be able to move through ground?
and after it is deployed, can you call it back?
cuz if not, then it feels just like the nydus canal
:/
