Urmm, perhaps mutalisks can evolve into Devourer in the expansion edition of SC2 again. Well, they may be not have the same name but pretty much the same thing I guess.

yea that might work for the next installment. They should bring the Devourer back and maybe change it into an air and ground attacker and have a new model design or sumthing.

i cant beleive this it is traditional for gaurdians to evolve from mutalisks now noone is going to us mutalisks as much

y cant they just stick to how it was

maybe there change it in beta
i play with my sack in the sun i play with my sack for lots of fun

Players don't just use Mutalisks for Guardians, they use it for its general power against everything ground or air, and its speed.

It'll take some time to get used to, but overall something new to play with :)

Seems cool that now your mutalisks are free to do what they do best instead of using them for another unit.

It's funny that an anti-air unit becomes a ground siege unit.

Psi, that avatar is awesome. That drone looks too cool. I initially thought it was the queen or something. Scary.

I have heard the Mutalisk's damage is now 10 base, that means 1 damage point increased per Glave Wurm split!

Yes, a single manly Protoss tear is being shed. (Anyone else think that he looks a bit like The Shredder from the TMNT?)

If they can get the mutalisk to stack they're going to be a bigger pain than before! The horror... BTW, how does their damage degrade between bounces?

At least with splash or area damaging abilities like the BC's missile pods and Psi-storm, you'll be harassing them right back. What do the Zerg have at the moment, plague and razor swarm, right?

Yea yur avatar Liraco looks kinda like Shredder from the TMNT. BTW, so wat u guys are saying that the muta's attack increased but its attack decreases every bounce to other enemy unit???

***Also, do you guys think that muta's current build is alright or does it need an increased attack; another ability; or evolution to another new zerg aerial unit???

Come on people, mutalisks have always been one of zergs most useful units you can use them any time in a game, even super late game to take out masses of plagued units fast (sci vessels) or to snipe High templar for protoss, I don't expect either of those two uses to go away, or a number of other late game uses. The addition of free +1 without upgrading is very generous too (they now have base 10 damage.)

This makes Broodlords 25 gas cheaper also :D

I also think it will be interesting to see how people switch from a pure AtA unit to a pure AtG unit and make use of it.

Could make for some epic mind games.

Hahahaa - this is a very tricky move indeed..

I guess now that only Jaedong, July and Effort will use Mutas.. LOL.. All the others will go to the 1/3 of the Corruptor force morphed to Broodlords, and have the 2/3 of the strength that Zerg aerial fleet had..

The point is - whenever your Muta was on low HP -> you'd put it somewhere in safe and later when your Greater Spire finishes -> mutate them into either Guardians or Devourers depending mainly on your resource balance ATM at that point..

Now badly damaged Mutas are gonna be much more fragile cause there's no way you could lower their fragileness..So - May i introduce you to the new fragile Wraith unit in SC2 without cloaks -> that's the Mutalisk..

As for me -> i pretty much said -> i'll rarely go to Mutas too..

Too bad, but at the same time - too good too.. :))

Last I saw the corrupter takes 7 seconds longer to make than muta.

Yeah - you're right - my bad..

But everything else is more tricky and more a responsibility to use mutas - now you can't just bypass the damage taken with further transform..
