PINNACLE: Nexus
HYDROVAT: Pylon. I think another name should be given to describe a building that produces and stores the liquid necessary to produce sparks.
PURIFIER: Refinery
BASTION: Barracks/Gateway
OBSIDIAN ENCLAVE: Cybernetics Core
CIRCLE OF FIRE: Tech building for producing the fire-wielding units.
PLANARIUM: tech building for producing casters/support units from their respective production buildings. the units are elemancer and sandflea
ASSEMBLER: Vehicle production akin to Factory
EDIFICE OF WAR: Armory
ARTIFICER: Tech building for upgrading vehicles and unlocking the pulverizer.
ASTRAL RELAY: Aircraft production
ASTRAL NODE: Aircraft upgrade center and unlocks more powerful aircraft including the dreadnought.
SACRED SANCTUM: For producing the most powerful units: the Titan and Monolith. Monolith also requires Astral Node.

Clubby, can you make name suggestions for the above. if you think any of the names should be changed for lore purposes, please describe them as well. thanks.

Suggestions:
1. Remove AA capabilities from the prowler and remove the gas cost.
2. Change the decimator's weapon. It fires missiles similar to the valkyrie from sc1 at a range of 10 towards air and ground units dealing smash damage to anything in the vicinity.
3. the decimator's current weapon, give it to the dreadnought. i see this weapon as being more appropriate for a flying massive spaceship. scrap the dreadnought's other ability.

I really don't see that, Sinistha. If the dreadnought is an actual space craft, sonic blasts don't make as much sense actually. Missiles don't seem like a good option for replacement either, here's an idea:

meteor strike-altering the planets gravitic forces, the decimator pulls down large debris from space and sends it crashing down on the enemies, usually in the form of meteors, but it can also pull down defunct satellites as well. Attack has the weakness of a huge shadow foreshadowing the event, however.

I think we should leave the units alone, unchanged, as it is. If any changes will be made, it'll be in response to the UED faction. I'm still waiting for them to finalize their lineup before i pop them a major question. Or proposal if you may.

Alright fine. We'll leave the units the way they are. Though I had a far out crazy idea but it would change everything. Certain units having certain abilities that would support greatly one unit specifically. This is to encourage the use of mixed unit combinations. Like for example the devastator could throw the vanguard (and only the vanguard) at enemies causing high damage. the stormbringer could cast a sandstorm around it that decreases all incoming damage by 50% but damages all flying enemies by 1HP/sec while also losing 1HP/sec. Stuff like that.

It's just a lore change, even mechanic wise it would be the same. But okay.

I think your mechanic of the huge meteor casting a shadow before crashing is awesome. but it would be better suited for a smaller unit or the monolith. too bad defxon said that the abilities are finalized at this point. maybe it could be how the monolith's super weapon crashed on to the ground before detonating.

Nothing's finalized yet. I just don't wanna make any big changes to existing unit attacks. It would screw with the balance. On that note, i think the sandflea is gonna be removed and replaced with the sandcrawler (name to be changed). The sandcrawler is a unit like the reaver but doesn't build scarabs that are used to damage units. Instead the sandcrawler can build various different sandfleas which are then used to make units invisible, buff them, deploy sensor pods and the like. speaking of the buff ability, that would remove the infusion ability from the exarch. will post a list of changes once that's all done.

This sandcrawler is interesting, but sandfleas are set up as being the vox's main detection ability, how can this replace them? Also, why the change? The sandflea felt like one of the more set in units. The sandcrawler is fine, but it doesn't feel right on the face value, that's all.

I think the last time defxon and i spoke about the sandcrawler, the issue of detection did come up. My two cents were to make the sandcrawler a flying unit that looks kind alike the reaver but not really. it can serve as a detector and micro factory for producing all these little sandflea type units. of course if this unit became a flyer then the name sandcrawler would have to change, wouldn't it? Gah. I know defxon doesn't want to include any animal names so i can't think of a name to call the new flying sand "crawler"

flying sandcrawler. drat, why didn't i think of that first! as for name i'm thinking tornado or whirlwind. something that has got to do with the desert the vox come from.

thanks zebrashark. glad you liked what we came up with. stick around for more. some lore might come this way in the not too far away future.

Well, if it's flying, that eliminates the idea I was going to suggest. I was going to suggest a mixture of the phase shift of the HT, and the underground burrow of the Infestor that would basically increase the move speed of the crawler, while it constantly burrows in and out of the ground for locomotion, like a worm.

though what you suggested is cool, i think the best thing for the sake of consistency is to have a flying detector. Here's an update to the unit list:

1. Thrall: Not voxoid. No other changes.
2. Sentinel: Now named vanguard. Due to their humanoid appearance i would rather them have the name guard rather than the more drone looking old "vanguards".
3. Vanguard: The old drone "vanguards" are now named Sentinels.
4. Infernal, Elemancer, Exarch, Voyager, Stormbringer, Dreadnought, Titan and Monolith have no name changes.
5. Prowler: Now named talon. No longer resembles a cat but something like a cross between the diamondback's turrets and a surfboard but a lot broader and flatter.
6. Sand Ark: The new sandcrawler. Mechanics to come later.
7. Decimator: Now renamed Harbinger.
8. Talon: Now named Trident.

The Exarch's infusion ability will be transferred to the sand ark. More to come soon. Still accepting suggestions.

I guess the name switch makes sense, because a vanguard is the guy in front, instead of the guy behind.
